Snow
Cancellation Policy |

"Don’t Laugh at Me" is a statewide project. To best accommodate every participating school district, the snow policy for the professional development workshop dates scheduled during the winter months is as follows: If the Farmington Public School District is open, the “Don’t Laugh at Me” training will be held as scheduled. If the Farmington Public Schools close (or Farmington High School, specifically, closes) due to unfavorable weather conditions on Day 1 of the 2-day workshop, both days of the “Don’t Laugh at Me” (DLAM) sessions will be cancelled. Every school that was registered for that session will be contacted shortly after the cancellation days to reschedule for another session. If Farmington Public Schools delay opening on either of the 2 days of the training, the “Don’t Laugh at Me” session will delay its start time in accordance with the time that Farmington Public Schools delay. (Thus, if Farmington delays 90 minutes, then the DLAM session will delay its start time by 90 minutes.) If your school is unable to attend the DLAM professional development session for which you were rescheduled due to the inclement weather and the DLAM session is still being held, you may reschedule your team’s attendance to a later date. Schools will be rescheduled on a case-by-case basis and at sessions with available space. To determine if the Farmington Public Schools are open, please listen to any major radio station that broadcasts school closings or watch either television station Channel 3 or Channel 30. If you need to reschedule a session due to inclement weather, please contact the Operation Respect CT office at (860) 721-7770 or info@OperationRespectCT.org. Please be sure to leave a detailed message, and your call will be returned as soon as possible. |
